Covid 19 Passport ID

On June 27, 2013, Britt Towery wrote an absorbing column concerning the state of affairs in our intelligence services. Mr. Towery cites George Orwell's book "1984" to explain how close our society is to becoming the Orwellian totalitarian society depicted in that book.

In an Our Opinion column in the San Angelo Standard-Times dated June 11, 2013, which gave rise to Britt Towery's column, the headline read, "If it's in your computer, the government has it." The opinion piece continued with, "The NSA and the FBI, under a program called PRISM, were tapping directly into the servers of nine leading U.S. Internet companies, vacuuming up audio and video chats, emails, photos, documents and connection logs. The companies were Microsoft, Yahoo, Google, Facebook, YouTube, PalTalk, AOL, Skype and Apple."

The NSA is probably using all of this data to create a file on everyone that uses these service providers. Now, we have these same tech companies censoring mostly those who disagree with the far left's political agenda. In communist nations the intelligence services keep track of those they consider enemies of the state by collecting intelligence on them and tracking their whereabouts.

A few days ago, I came across an article in Summit News by Steve Wilson published January 15, 2021. The report begins with the following. "A coalition of big tech companies, including Microsoft is developing a COVID passport, with the expectation that a digital document linked to vaccination status will be required to travel and get access to basic services."

Mr. Wilson reported that 100s of tech companies are working on covid passports, and three major airlines will implement covid passports in the first quarter of 2021. Someone, it seems, desires a way of identifying those who have not been vaccinated against covid 19. Who is least likely to accept the covid 19 vaccination? Would it not be the political right? Probably so, and I think this will be yet another way the political right is marginalized and persecuted by the far left.

Those who receive the vaccination will have more rights than others. Paul Meyer, CEO of the non-profit The Commons Project, also involved in said development, states that VCI would allow people "to safely return to travel, work, school, and life while protecting their data privacy and... re-engage with society." Does this not sound as though those who do not have the VCI passport will not be allowed to travel, return to work, school, or re-engage in society? Perhaps we will lose our right to vote as well. Does this not sound like totalitarianism? Some experts express the opinion that the covid passport will lead to a national or even a global I.D. for everyone. With this policy we will lose even more of our rights.

I have always believed the covid 19 pandemic was blown out of proportion to bring down the Presidency of Donald Trump. If you find it hard to believe that government officials would attempt such a coup that has cost so many innocent lives, think again. Look at what happened at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, where they were using gain-of-function studies to create new pandemic type viruses. The Chinese Wuhan lab was financed by the National Institute of Health and the U.S. Agency for International Development, and Dr. Fauci knew about it. These viruses could escape at any time and cause a worldwide pandemic. Does this not show how callous the NIH and USAID were by playing Russian Roulette with the lives of millions?

Also, does it not seem strange that the covid 19 pandemic came along just at the right time to benefit the far left? What if SARS-CoV2 was deliberately set loose? What has happened politically since the so-called pandemic began has played right into the hands of the far left. The economy that President Trump had brought to the U.S. was growing in leaps and bounds. The far left knew that they would lose the election simply on the strong economic growth that President Trump had helped bring to fruition. The imposed economic shutdown, which was unprecedented, has destroyed the economic vitality that we were experiencing only ten months ago. Then followed the scandal of rigged elections to make sure to finish the Presidency of Donald Trump and regain control in the U.S. Now, it seems, we are on the road to totalitarianism.
